False HOPE

Accept the teaching of the world
And hopeless you will be,
But trust in God’s eternal plan
If you want life that’s free.

I subscribed for a daily Our Daily Bread article and today's message is very true and clear. I've known people who called themselves "religious" and they do good. They donate their lands for community work, they give their money for social services and they give their time to be with the needy. When you asked them why, they'll say that's the only way we can go to heaven or that pleases the Lord. If this is the case, since, I am not rich financially this means I'm going hell? Good thing this is not what the Bible says. Take time to read the article, I subscribed this in my Facebook page.

The name of a pretty Bavarian town in Germany shares the name of a place of horror—Dachau. A museum on the grounds of this infamous Nazi concentration camp attracts many World War II history buffs.

As you look around, it would be hard to miss the misleading words welded to an iron gate: Arbeit Macht Frei. This phrase—Work Makes You Free—was just a cruel lie to give false hope to those who entered this place of death.

Many people today have false hope that they can earn a place in heaven by working at being good or by doing good things. God’s standard of perfection, however, requires a totally sinless life. There’s no way any of us can ever be “good enough.” It is only through the sacrifice of the sinless Savior that we are made righteous. God made Jesus “who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Cor. 5:21). Eternal life is given because of God’s gift of grace—not because of our good works (Eph. 2:8-9).

Don’t let Satan trick you by giving you false hope that your good works will save you. It is only through Jesus’ work on the cross that you can have real freedom. — Cindy Hess Kasper

Jesus came to the world not to condemn it but He instead died for our sins at the cross. Examine the faith you have right now. Ask God for forgiveness. Come to Him in prayer.

Hope

Failing is very hard to accept. The efforts, money and especially time we invest so much that we really need to succeed. Pride is always the source of lossing hope afraid of scrutiny, descrimination and humiliation from others. The Bibles tells us that we don't lose HOPE and these are the passages:

What are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Saviour and my God. (Psalms 42:11)

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.(1 Peter 1:21)

Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when
Jesus Christ is revealed. (1 Peter 1:13)

Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
 (1 John 3:3)

When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even death the righteous have refuge. (Proverbs 14:32)

The faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth,
 the gospel. (Colossians 1:5)

...which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27)

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
(Psalms 31:24)

For you have been my hope, O Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.
(Psalms 71:5)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. (1 Peter 1:3)
